David Lyons committed himself to improving the lives of those around him. Every year, we honor his legacy by recognizing one Saddle Creek associate who not only succeeds in the workplace but also serves their community in a meaningful way. Each year, a committee that includes the company shareholders reviews all the submissions in order to identify the one associate that best represents the passion of our founder.
This year we are pleased to announce the Founder’s Award goes to Felicia Snead, Claims Manager in Atlanta, Ga. Felicia has a remarkable dedication to improving the lives of people in need. For several years, she has been part of seven different Christian and non-for-profit organizations, where she plays multiple roles and works hard to lift the spirits of those around her. She goes out of her way to help her community by organizing charity drives, creating an environment for youths to be themselves, and making a lasting impression in their lives. Felicia goes on with her passion for caring for others at work. A Saddle Creek associate for three years, she has made a significant impact on supporting our teams.
Bill McParland, Risk Management, Safety and Security Senior Director believes Felicia truly represents Saddle Creek’s values and is always “Voiding Her Warranty” to support others in and out of the office. “Her role is to assist associates that have had serious injuries which may affect their job and their pay if they are taken out of work. These times can have associates worried and nervous about their future. Felicia understands the challenges and uncertainty. She strives to support them throughout the process, until they can return to normal duties. Felicia has helped make this part of our business one of the top-rated in our industry,” Bill explains.
Please help us congratulate Felica Snead. We are very proud of her and lucky to have Felicia as part of the Saddle Creek family!

Kayla's Kloset is our Community Service Project that focuses on young girls who are underrepresented and under served in the Atlanta Area. Donations of dresses, shoes, and accessories will be used to give those young girls the opportunity to look and feel beautiful on their special occasions such as Prom, Homecoming, Balls, etc. without the high costs associated with purchasing dresses, shoes and accessories.
As the recipient of the 2020 Founder’s Award, this prestigious moment allowed Felicia Sneed the opportunity to gift two Non-Profits of her choice monetary donations from Saddle Creek’s Founder’s Grant. FASKIA was chosen as one of those organizations, and on Saturday, November 14, 2020, FASKIA was presented with a check for $1,000 to be applied to our Kayla’s Kloset Scholarship Fund. Congratulations on a job well done Felicia, we appreciate your generosity.
